Moving from MacCleaner Pro

MacCleaner Pro is six apps; macleanup is one script with 28 sections. Most of the cleanup lines up by number. The duplicate finder, the memory cleaner and the visual analyser do not.

Move across

  1. Preview the cache profile: 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 19.

    npx macleanup --profile cache-only --dry-run
  2. Run the audit profile as a preview to see leftovers, idle apps and folder sizes in one go.

    npx macleanup --profile audit --dry-run
  3. Run section 26 for real. It only reports.

    npx macleanup --only 26
  4. Read the script before you let it delete anything. It is public, and the no-Node checkout runs it straight from the clone.
